If you've been looking for a pup for anytime at all you probably have come across terminology that is unfamiliar to you. That's okay, we've all been there and maybe we can help out a little when it comes to what type of registration your dog will come with.
LIMITED REGISTRATION:
Most people will end up buying a dog with Limited or Pet Registration. This simply means that your dog is an AKC registered pup with a verifiable Pedigree who does not have breeding rights transferred with him to you as the new owner.
QUESTION: Why do breeders sell puppies this way?
ANSWER: Breeders want to be responsible with their breeding program and want to ensure that the integrity of their bloodlines are preserved. There are a lot of expenses involved in a quality breeding program as well as a whole lot of work in caring for these wonderful animals. Most people who are looking for a new family member are not set up, prepared, or interested in all that goes into a breeding program. Simply put, they just want a wonderful pet/family member. By making pups available with limited registration we are able to offer quality animals at a lower price which is a win win for most families.
FULL REGISTRATION:
When you are granted Full Registration your new dog will come with transferred breeding rights. This allows you to raise litters using your new dog and register their pups with the AKC. Full Registration will always cost more than Limited Registration simply because it cost more for us to have Verified, Pedigreed, DNA Tested, Health Screened, European Boxers. Also, just because you may have a desire for Full Registration doesn't mean that we are responsible to grant that to you. Apart of our commitment is to ensure the Dogs we sell will be well cared for. We take time to get to know each family we sell a dog to and on a case by case basis we will determine if we feel comfortable granting Full Registration/Breeding rights to the perspective new owners. Our standard price for Full Registration is $3000. If you see a price lower than that listed it will be for LIMITED REGISTRATION ONLY.
